How To Perform A PS5 Offline Software Update
From time to time, you will need to perform an offline system update.
Normally your PS5 will tell you when an update is available, or will update automatically, if you are online.
This process can sometimes fail, and you may be presented with an error message on screen, asking you to perform the update offline with a USB stick.
Also, your PS5 storage can become corrupt, and an offline update can be the route to repairing your console.
A fresh installation of the software can also be performed this way, if you can't get the console to update with the update file.
